SAP Sales Order Processing ( Including Delivery Creation and Billing Document Creation )
  1. How do you find out the document flow associated with a sales document ?
  2. Create a standard sales order with the following details and give the SAP Sales Order Number ( All of the questions in this section refer to the Sales Order created in this question )
    1. Customer : 1400
    2. Material : M-01
    3. Quantity : 100
  3. Can you change the system proposed delivery date ?
  4. Can you change the delivery date at the line item level ?
  5. Find out the Net Price ( Before Tax ) for the SAP Sales Order you created in Question No.2 above
  6. Find out the Net Price ( After Tax ) for the SAP Sales Order you created in Question No.2 above
  7. Add another line item M-02 with a quantity of 200 to the sales order you created in questions no.2 above
  8. Now Reject the Line Item No. 10 for the sales order
  9. If you wanted to reject both line items 10 and 20 in one step ( instead of rejecting each line item individually ) can you do it ?

    1. How do you find out the document flow associated with a sales document?

    Option1: Go to Environment and Click “Display Document Flow”
    Option2: Just click “F5” on the Key board when you are in the Sales Document

    3. Can you change the system proposed delivery date?

    Yes, we can change the System Proposed Requested Delivery Dates.

    4. Can you change the delivery date at the line item level?

    Yes, we can change the delivery dates at the line item level. The delivery dates can be changed at the following tabs.
    1) Schedule Lines – You can change the delivery date here and it also updates the delivery date on the Line item Tab
    2) Sales A – First Delivery Date

    5. Find out the Net Price ( Before Tax ) for the SAP Sales Order you created in Question No.2 above

    Net value before Tax on the Sales Header – 85,900 EUR

    6. Find out the Net Price ( After Tax ) for the SAP Sales Order you created in Question No.2 above

    Net Value after Tax on the Item Conditions Detail Tab “TOTAL”: 102.221,00 EUR

    7. Add another line item M-02 with a quantity of 200 to the sales order you created in questions no.2 above

    Line Item has been added.

    8. Now Reject the Line Item No. 10 for the sales order

    The line Item can be rejected by going to the Reason for Rejection Tab.
    Selected the Line item 10 and chose the appropriate reason for rejection.
    Once the line item is “Rejected”, the Net value of the Sales Order is deducted and the line item is grayed out.

    9. If you wanted to reject both line items 10 and 20 in one step ( instead of rejecting each line item individually ) can you do it ?

    Yes, all line items of the Sales Order can be rejected.
    Option 1: Select the “Reason for Rejection” Tab, Select all line items and Select the appropriate reason for rejection
    Option 2: Select all line items, go to EDIT  Fast Change of  Reason for Rejection and select the appropriate reason

    10. What is the ‘Transportation Planning Date’ for the line item 20 ?
    Go to Shipping Tab and for Line Item 20, check the “Loading Date”. Loading Date is the Transportation Planning Date

    Transportation Planning Date = 10/27/2011

    11. What is the over all processing status of the line item 10 now?

    Overall Status = Completed
    Go to the Status Tab for each line item for this information

    12. Add another line item 30 with the following
    1. Material : M-01
    2. Quantity : 80

    Added the line item

    13. Deliver ONLY the line item 30 of the sales order. Specify the Delivery Number.

    Note: The Schedule line (Delivery date) must be current date or previous date.

    The ownership of the goods/materials is turned over from Company to the Customer

    2) Cost of goods sold account will be credited and Stock value will be debited

    20. What is the Transaction Code to create a Billing Document ?

    Create Billing Document: T-Code is “VF01”

    21. Is there a cash discount given to the line item . 10 in the sales order ?

    Yes, Cash Discount (SKTO) – 3% has been given

    22. Can the payment terms differ between the header and line item ?

    Yes, this can be changed under the “Billing” Tab at the line item level. The Line Item Payment Term will take over the Payment Term from the Header.

    23. Add more line items to the sales order as follows
    1. Material : M-01 , Quantity : 10
    2. Material : M-02 , Quantity : 15
    3. Material : M-01, Quantity : 20

    Added the above line items to the Sales Order: 135075

    24. Make the payment terms of the last item as Net 0 and the last 2 line items as Net 30 . Now specify the payment terms at the header level and the line item level for the new item you have added in question No. 23

    Done, the Payment Terms are changed at the Line Item Level

    25. Deliver all the items you have added in Question No. 23 in a single delivery.

    I was not able to perform the delivery.
    For the 5th Line, the confirmed delivery date is in future., hence we can’t do a delivery

    27. Add more line items to the sales order as follows

    Go to the Sales tab “header” and check the Indicator “Complete dlv.”

    29. Create a quotation with reference to the sales order. If you are not able to create, list the reason why ?

    Sales Order is created with reference to a Quotation from the Customer and not vice versa.

    30. Can you create a sales order with reference to the delivery documents you created in Question No. 28 ? If not , list the reason why ?

    Deliveries are created with reference to Sales Order Scheduling agreements and not vice versa.

    B.How to open a new log on session?

    Answer: By default ECC SAP 6.0 allows you standard 6 sessions per log on.

    Answer: go to menu and click (Favourites->Insert transaction) add transaction code and click ok. (Favourites is 3rd button on the menu Bar)

    E.How to find out the current transaction code?

    Answer: click on scratch pad at bottom right on your SAP easy access screen. This is the session manager. Transaction is 5th from the top on the list name system

    F.What is a Transaction code?

    Answer: It is a shortcut to get to an SAP transaction screen, instead of through the navigation window. Transaction codes are usually alpha numeric characters for e.g. VD01.

    G.What is the use of a Status Bar?

    Answer: a Status Bar provides general information about the SAP system and the transaction or task you are working on, e.g. error or warning displays at bottom left, system info on bottom right.

    H.How to get ‘help’ on a field on the SAP GUI?

    Answer: select the field and click on help icon on system toolbar (second button from right to left) or simply press F1.

    I.Can you log in without specifying the client number?

    Answer: NO its mandatory

    Answer: Over all processing status of the line item 10 is showing “completed”. In order to get this information go to the Status Tab for each line item.

    Answer: “Availability check” means when is your item available, based on stock availability or production.” Viewing Availability” showing overview of inventory items details like received and required quantity, plant info etc.
    Select the Line item and click on the “Display Availability” button at the bottom

    Answer: Currency for sales order 25396 is EURO which showing right next to net total.
    19. What happens during Post Goods Issue?
    Answer: During Post Goods Issue, inventory is debited and cost of goods account is credited.

    Answer: VF01
    21. Is there a cash discount given to the line item. 10 in the sales order?
    Answer: yes, 3% discount for 15 days and 2% discount for 30 days and after 45 days no discount.

    Answer: set flag on “complete delivery field”, once set that field you can not split the items into multiple deliveries.

    Answer: You can not create a quotation with reference to the sales order because quotation always creates before the sales order creates.
    30. Can you create a sales order with reference to the delivery documents you created in Question No. 28? If not, list the reason why?

    I have created order 25396 for all order to cash cycle exercise but i need your help to resolve following two question.
    1) Deliver all the items you have added in Question No. 23 in a single delivery.
    I am not able to create any delivery on line 50 to line 70
    2) Bill the delivery you created in Question No. 25. Were you able to create a single billing document? If not, why?
    I tried to create single billing documents but i couldn’t, please explain why

      In your case, the delivery dates for some are in december mid and some in June next year.
      2. Multiple invoices created for a single delivery is puzzling me too. I have never seen this. I am sure this must be some problem in the copy control config. I would love to discuss in the class tomm.

      Give me the Order # or Delivery # and I will help you with the further steps. If you want, we can meet 10 mins in advance for a couple of days and sort out any issues that you have in general.
